Nothing better than warm, homemade chocolate chip cookies


T's Chocolate Chip Cookies:

1 stick butter softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla
2 t rum
1/2 t salt
1 2/3 cup flour
1/2 t  baking soda
1/2 t baking powder
1/2 cup Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup Ghirardelli 60% cacoa chocolate chips
Optional: 1 cup pecans or macademias

Chill the dough for 30 minutes to an hour.Form the dough into 2 inch balls and bake for 7-10 minutes @ 375 or until cookies are just starting to crack on top. Should yield 2 dozen cookies...unless you're like me and eat half of the cookie dough!
